Grey Matters Defense Solutions is seeking a talented and dedicated SIGINT Systems Engineer.  

About the job:
This position works with Software Developers, Data Scientist, Data Engineers, and Analysts to design and integrate new capabilities into existing software baselines. You will be working directly with program leadership to ensure successful design, implementation, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates with Data Scientists and Software Developers in the architectural design of specific databases and algorithm development activities
  • Track software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to design, coding, testing, data quality assessments, deployment, and maintenance.  
  • Design solutions leveraging advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) data analytics and system performance knowledge to identify and address issues and create advanced analytic capabilities.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of automated building and regression environments using Jenkins and Cron jobs.
  • Provide engineering solutions related to large-scale data analytics and exploring new data types and processing techniques for national systems and legacy systems.
  • Have experience in model based system engineering principals.

About you:
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SSBI
  • Able to utilize specialized software applications to break apart various signals of interest and identify potential capabilities and level of technology
  • Proficient in modifying scientific programming with C, C++, Python or similar high-level languages on UNIX/Linux platforms.
  • Have at least 8 years of experience in ground system automated End-to-End processing and identification, with expertise in detection, geolocation, identifying, and processing for national SIGINT, ELINT, and COMINT missions.

Preferred Skills (any, some, or all):
  • Counter Communication Systems experience
  • Electronic Warfare background
  • DGS or AOC deployment
  • COMMS External experience

Grey Matters Defense Solutions pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. In addition to your base salary, Grey Matters Defense Solutions will distribute an additional 25% of your base salary into your SEP Retirement fund and an additional 12.5% into your IBA to pay for your medical insurance premiums.  If you do not use Grey Matters Defense Solutions insurance, then that money will be paid out to you as a bonus. Remember, this is in addition to your base salary and bonus!
